Maybrey's gravity die casting facility produces aluminium castings to 25 kg with a superior surface finish and dimensional accuracy. We serve aerospace, commercial, buildings products, and general engineering customers, operating across a range that spans from mid to high volumes.

Materials & Capacity
Materials
Aluminium alloys, from commercial grades to aerospace-specification class one alloys. Specific grades confirmed at quotation. LM25, LM6, LM27, 2L99, frequently poured.
Weight range
Up to 25 kg per casting. We regularly produce castings across the full weight range, from small precision components to larger structural pieces at the upper limit.
Volume
Mid to high volume production. We also accommodate lower-volume and development runs where gravity die is the right process for the application.
Tooling
Dies designed and produced in-house by our tooling team, with larger tooling sub-contracted to a trusted partner we have worked with for over 30 years. All maintenance carried out in house.
Aerospace Die Casting
Our die casting facility is certified to AS9100 Rev D and has held unbroken aerospace approval since 1937. We supply aluminium gravity die castings in the full range of aerospace alloys, many of which are machined in our facility before delivery. Our inspection department is equipped with the latest spectrometers.
In-House Tooling
All new dies are designed in-house. We produce a casting drawing detailing draft tapers, corner radii, machining allowances, and any modifications that benefit both the customer and the foundry. Our iron sand foundry casts all die blocks in-house, allowing us to control material quality and speed up delivery on new tooling.
Quality Assurance
Our gravity die foundry operates under ISO 9001:2015 and, for aerospace and defence work, AS9100 Rev D. We have fully equipped laboratory with three spectrometer, tensiometer & brinell hardness tester providing chemical and mechanical certifications. Non-destructive tests are carried out by NADCAP-approved suppliers.
